TUN AZIZAN ZAINUL ABIDIN INTEGRITY CIRCLES (TAZAiC)

In 2004, The Malaysian Institute of Integrity has been entrusted to be the secretariat to implement the National Integrity Plan (NIP) by the Hon.Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Tun Abdullah Hj Ahmad Badawi. In line with these aspirations, IIM has conceptualised programs based on the formation of 'Integrity Circles' - networking circles comprising young professionals.
 

To foster a common understanding of the meaning and virtue of ethics and integrity, members will be required to undergo a mandatory short course. This will be followed by activities that foster and propagate the culture of ethics and integrity. These 'Integrity Circles' will ensure the sustainability and continuation of activities beyond the classroom.

As a tribute to honour the late Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin, it was proposed that these 'Integrity Circles' be named after him. A delegation met Y.A.B Toh Puan Noor Ainee Che The to seek her consent to use the good name of late Tun Azizan for the program. Learning modules were then jointly-designed by PETRONAS and IIM which incorporate specific references to the values espoused by late Tun Azizan and his personal insights into the subject of ethics and integrity. 

The Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin Integrity Circles for Young Professionals program and its alumni secretariat is being managed by the Private Sector Division of IIM. Young professionals identified for this program must fulfil the following criteria:

            Age below 35 years;

            Possess 2-5 years' of working experience;

            Demonstrate exemplary leadership and interpersonal qualities.

TUN AZIZAN INTEGRITY LECTURE SERIES

In conjunction with the Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin Integrity Circles (TAZAIC) program, IIM has organised another program entitled ‘Tun Azizan Integrity Lecture Series' on 27 Oct 2010. This Integrity Lecture Series is an initiative to provide an avenue for intellectual discourse among undergraduates and prominent Malaysian corporate figures, and will be conducted once every six months at different institutions of higher learning.
